E-MINI NASDAQ 100

In 1999, CME® E-mini® NASDAQ-100® futures were offered- a smaller version of the CME NASDAQ-100 futures contract. At one-fifth the size of the CME NASDAQ-100 futures contracts, these exciting versatile contracts are affordable for nearly all investor and provide unique opportunities for market exposure and risk management, virtually 24 hours a day.

Stocks in the underlying NASDAQ-100 Index include the premier 100 largest domestic, non-financial common stocks listed on The Nasdaq Stock Market based on a modified market capitalization. The Index reflects growth companies across major industry groups including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, retail/wholesale trade, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. Unlike many other index contracts that CME trades, the NASDAQ-100 Index does not contain financial companies including investment companies.

CME E-mini NASDAQ-100 futures list the nearest two months in the March quarterly cycle. The futures contract size in $20 times the NASDAQ-100 Index, and has a tick value of.50 index points, or $50.

What is a CME E-mini NASDAQ-100 Futures Contract Worth?
To determine the value of a CME E-mini NASDAQ-100 futures contract, you must be familiar with its multiplier and the current index futures level

.Index value x $20 = One CME E-mini NASDAQ-100 futures contract value

The CME E-mini NASDAQ-100 multiplier is $20.For example, if the NASDAQ-100 Index level is 1500, multiply that by $20 1500 x $20 = $30,000

If you buy one CME E-mini NASDAQ-100 futures contract at 1500, you are trading an instrument valued at $30,000
